Fighting Hunger Statewide
For 120 years, Utah Food Bank has stayed true to our objective of serving those in need throughout our state. We work tirelessly with community partners and volunteers to continue making an impact and fulfilling our mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide.
Last year, Utah Food Bank distributed 50.1 million meals via a statewide network of 245 partner agencies located in all 29 counties. In addition to being one of only a handful of food banks that distributes food free of charge to partner agencies, we also offer several direct service programs to help the most vulnerable populations in our state — children and seniors. By combining these direct service programs with our emergency food assistance services, we can truly impact the lives of Utahns who live in a world of food insecurity.
Utah Food Bank is currently in the process of a multi-pronged expansion project to more efficiently and effectively fight hunger here in Utah. Renovations are complete at our 26,000-square-foot Salt Lake expansion into the building immediately to our west, and volunteer projects are already happening in this space. We have doubled the size of our Southern Distribution Center in St. George, are under construction on our 77,000-square-foot Timpanogos Distribution Center in Springville, as well as on our 18,000-square-foot Southeastern Distribution Center with attached pantry in Blanding. Construction is also underway on our first foray into Utah Food Bank-operated food pantries, which will serve the residents of the Navajo Nation from Montezuma Creek and Monument Valley.
