We are proud to announce that our Board of Directors has named Ginette Bott as our new President and Chief Executive Officer. Bott replaces Jim Yorgason, who announced his retirement in January 2018.
In compliance with Utah Food Bank bylaws, the Governance Committee, led by Board Chair David Allred and Board Chair-Elect Ryan Dent, oversaw the search committee in this selection. The goal of the selection committee was to cast as wide of a net as possible in seeking candidates for the position, allowing the committee to compare candidates from a broad spectrum of experience, including non-profit, education and private industry.
“I am so pleased with the selection of Ginette Bott as the next President & CEO of Utah Food Bank. Ginette has served in key roles at the food bank, and her influence on the development of critical programs and resources is significant,” said Allred. “Together with an excellent executive team and staff and tens of thousands of volunteers, Ginette will offer leadership to strengthen current relationships and establish new partnerships with a focus on creativity and innovation in Fighting Hunger Statewide.”
Bott joined Utah Food Bank’s staff in 2009 following 23 years of management and marketing experience at Fidelity Investments and holds dual B.S. degrees in Business Management and Marketing. In her role as Chief Development Officer, Ginette has served as the key media spokesperson for Utah Food Bank, overseeing public relations and development strategies to create innovative fundraising and community engagement efforts. In addition, she managed the volunteer, programs and development departments, as well as mentoring staff to strengthen leadership skills.

I have been actively involved in Utah Food Bank’s mission for more than 25 years, but my passion for helping people started long before that,” said Bott. “I look forward to leading this great team as we continue to do everything in our power to prevent Utah children from having to go to bed hungry.”
Utah Food Bank thanks outgoing President & CEO Jim Yorgason for his 8 years of service and leadership at Utah Food Bank and wishes him well on his retirement journey. According to Yorgason, “I am thrilled with the selection and am confident that Ginette will utilize her considerable skills and expertise to continue to lead Utah Food Bank in a positive direction.”
